Lionel Messi gave Barca, who were recently crowned La Liga champions, a 2-1 lead in the 52nd minute after Cristiano Ronaldo's first-half strike cancelled out Luis Suarez's opener.

The home fans were raging as the half-time whistle blew but, with Marco Asensio on for Ronaldo, they were celebrating eight minutes after the restart.

"I enjoyed this Clasico, even if it wasn't played in the best conditions, they're games to enjoy". But he has told us that it will not be anything major, ' said the Madrid coach after Sunday's 2-2 draw. "There are two games left and, in the end, Barcelona will finish the season unbeaten".

Barcelona is aiming to become the first team to go an entire season without a loss in the Spanish league under its current format.

The Portuguese star had pulled Madrid level with a goal from close range in the 14th minute, but in the process he was clattered into from behind by Barcelona defender Gerard Pique.

"Everyone who likes football can be happy with a game like that".

Madrid was dominating the match when Barcelona right back Sergi Roberto was shown a direct red card in first-half injury time for swiping his hand at Marcelo's face as tempers flared.

But Barca responded after the restart as Lionel Messi reclaimed the lead for the hosts, though Gareth Bale managed to steer home a late equaliser for Real.

After initially taking treatment, Ronaldo played on for 31 minutes here before Zinedine Zidane made a decision to substitute him at half-time, which may at least offer Real encouragement. Obviously, we want to win, irrelevant of the table - and they will too, given the situation and our rivalry.

Ronaldo appeared to shake off the injury.

Barcelona began to lose its composure and Jordi Alba shoved Luka Modric before both Suarez and Sergio Ramos were booked for a tussle.

Zidane says, "The most important thing is respecting what Barcelona has done, winning the league".
