Some of the Muslim refugees broke down in tears as they told harrowing stories of murder and rape in mainly Buddhist Myanmar.

"We can not remain silent about it", he said, adding that the issue would remain at the top of the UN Security Council's agenda. "But there is no magic solution, there is no magic stick to solve all these issues", The Associated Press news agency quoted him as saying.

His country and China - another veto-empowered council member - have bilateral and military ties with Naypyidaw. We are not closing our eyes.

They will seek to push the Myanmar government to implement those requests, diplomats said. "And here, we will have to do our best to discuss this issue and find solutions in the Security Council", he also said.

The delegates from permanent UNSC member states are: Haltao Wu, DPR of China; Anne Christine Marie Gueguen, DPR of France; Dmitry Polyanskiy, First DPR of Russian Federation; Kelley Anne Eckeis-Currie, DPR of the USA; Karen Elizabeth Roxburgh, PR of the UK.

Peru's ambassador to the U.N., Gustavo Adolfo Meza Cuadra Velasqez, said he and his fellow team members were ready to "work hard" and were "very concerned" about the crisis.

"What we saw is not acceptable".

"The situation is still dire and hard [for] the refugees", he said.

AFP reported that hundreds of Rohingyas at Kutupalong camp staged a protest ahead of the visit, holding banners demanding the restoration of their rights in Myanmar.

The team comprises representatives from the 15 member states of the Security Council.

Kansas City could still use help at cornerback, so general manager Brett Veach may not be done with that side of the ball. The Chiefs did not have a first-round pick after trading it away last season to select quarterback Patrick Mahomes II.

Bangladesh and Myanmar signed an agreement late a year ago to return the Muslim refugees.

The refugees are seeking United Nations protection to return home. Both U.N. officials on the ground and council members in NY vacillated over how to respond to the ethnic cleansing campaign of Myanmar's military against the Rohingya Muslim minorities in mid-2017.

Last November, however, the council issued a statement condemning the violence in Rakhine.

The European Union on Thursday extended its arms embargo against Myanmar, following human rights violations in the country, and was preparing sanctions against individual army officials.

"The lack of a U.N. Security Council resolution has left the Myanmar government convinced that it has literally gotten away with mass murder", Kenneth Roth, the rights watchdog's executive director, told reporters in Yangon on Friday as he called on the United Nations to refer the Rohingya crisis the International Criminal Court.

The diplomats will conclude their three-day visit to Bangladesh on Monday, when they leave for Myanmar. The camp's Rohingya leader Dil Mohammad said the UNSC delegation met and spoke with some women victims of the violence in Rakhine, as well as community elders.

The envoys are due to travel to Rakhine State on Tuesday.

Rohingya insurgent attacks on security posts in Rakhine on August 25 sparked the military operation that has sent almost 700,000 Rohingya fleeing to camps in Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh.

"Myanmar authorities can try to have [the global community's] trust and value again during this visit", he said.

In November past year, the Security Council strongly condemned the government-sanctioned violence against Myanmar's Muslim Rohingya minority in a unanimously-backed statement.
