'Avengers: Infinity War' romps to $1 billion at the box office, faster than any other movie
The Marvel Studios film, which stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and features a litany of superheroes, reached the milestone one day earlier than the previous record held by 2015's "Star Wars:The Force Awakens". The Marvelmovie is still riding high on great reviews and its "A" CinemaScore, and the final figures definitely show that.
"This was not the strongest weekend ever regarding the official kick-off of the summer season, but we could be looking at a record May ultimately", Dergarabedian said, noting upcoming releases like "Deadpool 2" (May 18) and "Solo: A Star Wars Story" (May 25).
The film grossed over a billion dollars faster than any other movie in history, and it's only in its second weekend in theaters.
Recall that this is not the first record in "the Avengers". Internationally, it grossed $162.6 million - including a $17.6 million opening in Russian Federation - taking its overseas total to $713.3 million. The film stars Anna Faris and Eugenio Derbez as unlikely lovers, and was produced by MGM and Pantelion Films, a Lionsgate-backed production company aimed at Latino audiences.
Golovkin on the limit for record bid against Martirosyan
The champion bounced right up and appeared more surprised than hurt, but the bout was surely more competitive down the stretch. Martin, now 22-0, was a 79-71 victor on two scorecards and a 77-73 victor on the third against Prescott, who's now 31-13.
It's IN for top recruit IN Hoosier State, Romeo Langford
An anxious crowd awaits tip-off between Romeo Langford's New Albany Bulldogs and Trayce Jackson-Davis's Center Grove Trojans. The entire basketball world has been waiting for 5-star guard Romeo Langford to make his college decision.

Several people were taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Details are still limited, and more information will be provided when it becomes available .
A Quiet Place lands at three on the new box office countdown, while Amy Schumer's comedy I Feel Pretty is at four, and Dwayne Johnson's latest action movie Rampage rounds out the new top five. Opening in a similar amount of theaters, meanwhile, Tully only managed to hit No. 7, which isn't as bad as Young Adult but only proves that Charlize Theron, sadly, isn't a box office draw.
If I wanted to be nitpicky, one complaint that I can come up with is that we didn't get enough of the Black Order, which I felt were pretty awesome, and another complaint of mine would be their deaths.
This overtakes Black Panther impressive second weekend total of $111 million.
"Truth or Dare", $1.9 million ($5.7 million international).
