PARKLAND school shooter Nikolas Cruz wants to donate his inheritance to victims of the massacre and help "heal the community". Simpson has a valid concealed weapons permit, and a Broward County School Board spokesperson said the district does not plan to take any disciplinary action against him. Freedman said she initially had a list only of the 17 who died, not the 17 who were injured.
"To leave $67 million on the table is a travesty", School Board member Robin Bartleman says.
Police arrested him shortly after the shooting, and Cruz has confessed to being the gunman, court documents show. His brother, Zachary Cruz, attended the hearing and also did not speak.
Chemistry teacher Sean Simpson, who was at the school during the shooting, was arrested on April 8, after accidentally leaving a loaded gun at a public bathroom.
Prosecutors have said they will seek the death penalty. Finkelstein repeated that Cruz will plead guilty if the death penalty is waived. It's also not clear how frequently the annuity pays, lawyers said.
"It hits on many levels - as a mother, a teacher", said Yvette Davie, a local high school educator.
Russell Crowe 'divorce auction': memorabilia sold
The full auction is tipped to raise £2 million but when asked what he might spend the money on, Crowe remained tight-lipped. The auction, put on by Sotheby's Australia , realised $3,719,200 and had a volume clearance rate of 83.2 per cent.
Since he was arrested on February 14 in the killing of 17 people at the Florida high school, information has surfaced that he might stand to inherit a small fortune.
Court records from his late mother's probate case show Nikolas Cruz stands to receive $25,000 from a life insurance policy and up to $800,000 more from her estate, the Sun-Sentinal reported.
McNeil confirmed that Cruz now has Microsoft stock worth $2,227, as well as a bank account with $353.
Cruz also has about $669 in his jail account, which has been receiving donations from people around the country. "However, there have been multiple claims already filed against the estate of Lynda Cruz and there are multiple lawsuits that have been filed against Mr. Cruz".
McNeill and other attorneys representing Cruz said in court last month that even with those assets, Cruz would be hard pressed to find a lawyer willing to take the case with no guarantee of future payments.
"Mr. Cruz does not want those funds, whatever money that he is entitled to", lawyer Melissa McNeill told a Broward County judge Wednesday.

Sevilla would have been encouraged by the comedy of errors in Bayern's defence that led to Augsburg's opening goal. After reveling with a cardboard Bundesliga trophy, the players danced in a conga line on Augsburg's field.
