Thon Maker poses major problem for Celtics in Game 3 of series vs. Bucks

Thon Maker poses major problem for Celtics in Game 3 of series vs. Bucks

The Bucks fell into a deep deficit early, then fought back to force overtime on a desperation 3-pointer by Khris Middleton but faded in OT and lost 113-107. The Celtics upgraded his Game 5 status to questionable Monday night, perhaps as a result of Monday's evaluation. But just like in Game 3, the big difference-makers for the Bucks was the bench duo of Jabari Parker and Thon Maker. And to turn this into a positive for everyone, we are pledging that if the Bucks win the series Thursday night in Milwaukee, we will provide all Bucks fans with a free taco with any purchase all day Friday at all our locations.

Well, they squeaked out of Game 4 with a narrow two-point win, 104-102. Antetokounmpo is averaging 26.9 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game through the first 4 games of this series. After two strong performance at home in the playoffs, Brown was getting the attention he deserves. Like in Game 3, they stormed out of the gates, taking a 24-17 lead after the first quarter. Down four with under two minutes to play in the game, Brown shot a step-back three that showed us his willingness to take big shots.

The Celtics have had their offensive struggles in the series, shooting 44.2 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from beyond the arc. He scored 23 points in each of those Boston wins, confidently hitting 47 percent of his shots. Wall had a hand in 10 of Washington's final 14 points, including an assist on a go-ahead layup by Markieff Morris.

He and Kyle Korver combined for all of Cleveland's points in a late 10-2 run, but James drew boos from the crowd after flipping the ball up the court to run out the clock.

The Bucks won their two home games but that's been the trend in the series as the hosts have prevailed all four times.

The Celtics know how important winning game five is, and they can feel good that they do not have to win another game on the road. "The Greek Freak" is capable of leading the Bucks, but he will need other players to step up in this pivotal game 5. Before Game 2 in Boston, The Pick and Roll was able to ask Boston head coach Brad Stevens just that.

Bucks center John Henson missed his second consecutive game with a back injury. For Boston, Stevens gave Greg Monroe just five minutes in Game 4 after he was effective in Game 3, posting a double-double. Thus, Boston would be thrilled to get one more key guy back in the lineup. The Bucks are 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings.

The Warriors, who were led by Kevin Durant's 34 points and 13 rebounds, could advance to a second-round series against New Orleans with a Game 5 home victory today. The 7-foot-1 Maker has turned into disruptive presence after playing sparingly in the first two games.
