Before the outing, Kensington Palace confirmed it would be the Duchess's last before maternity leave, saying: "Today's public engagements by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be Her Royal Highness's last before starting her maternity leave".

Multiple engagements are linked to the Commonwealth, which is a global network of total 53 countries with over two billion people.

Ahead of the Royal Baby's birth, Kate Middleton and Prince William have given their third child an internet presence and a new page has been added to the royal website with information about Prince George and Princess Charlotte's new sibling.

Highlights have included attending her first official event with Meghan Markle, when the pair joined William and Prince Harry for a question and answer session about the royal trio's Royal Foundation and their charitable aims for the future. "We all know how important childhood is; and how the early years shape us for life".

With the baby due in April, we're sure that the page will have some exciting updates very soon!

Earlier, William was consoled by Kate after he needed three attempts to net a basketball from a wheelchair at a SportsAid event at the Copper Box in the Olympic Park in east London.

They then took part in a quiz about the Commonwealth, which the Queen is Head of State, so presumably blitzed it and were seen laughing with the athletes, coaches and supporters who took part.

Every year SportsAid supports more than 1,000 athletes - the vast majority aged 12-18 - by providing a financial award to help with training and competition costs. She and Prince William met locals and volunteers at St Luke's Community Centre in north London, and revealed their recipe for buttered chicken.

What Kate chose to wear to the visit also had us nodding with approval - and we might have Meghan Markle to thank.
