Frances McDormand's Oscar Was Stolen

A man is accused of stealing an Oscar award, and he made it pretty easy for police to catch him. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences issued a statement in the wake of the incident, saying: "Best Actress victor Frances McDormand and her Oscar were happily reunited after a brief separation at last night's Governors Ball". But later, the 60-year-old realised the trophy was missing.

Public Information Officer Norma Eisenman confirmed to USA TODAY that the LAPD arrested a suspect named Terry Bryant and that he is in the process of being booked for grand theft.

After that, he looked around and walked out, grabbing the Oscar the whole time without doubt.

Authorities say the Oscar was allegedly stolen during the Governors Ball after party.

It was not immediately clear in what capacity he was attending the event, but police said he had a ticket. The Oscar was returned to McDormand, who told security to release the man. "We got it tonight, baby".
