Justin Timberlake Brought Super Bowl #SelfieKid to Tears With This Sweet Surprise

Ryan told Ellen how he got himself to Timberlake at the Minnesota game: "I pushed through".

The Philadelphia Eagles may have won the Super Bowl, but 13-year old Patriots fan Ryan McKenna won the Super Bowl halftime show.

"He's just an awesome dancer and singer", McKenna said.

It just so happens that Timberlake did have something special coming up for McKenna. "The lady told us we were in a good section but we didn't know Justin would be there", he admits.

The "selfie kid" from the Super Bowl is having the best week ever. "And I got there and I was there with him".

Facebook Messenger Kids Should Be Shut Down, Say Child Health Advocates
Some companies have offered parental controls as a way of controlling unauthorized preteen use of their platforms. That's not to say that young kids should be allowed to use excessively use apps like this, however.

"I have the iPhone 6, and that thing's just slow, and it shut off, so that's when all the memes formed", he said. "Yeah, so, all the memes, I've seen those", he told DeGeneres.

"I knew that I wanted to end the performance with "Can't Stop The Feeling" cause I knew how people respond to that song", the singer added. Host Ellen DeGeneres then complimented Justin on his performance, leading him to explain that dancing through the section wasn't part of the plan. DeGeneres then let McKenna know that thanks to the National Football League, he and his family would be getting a VIP experience at a New England Patriots home game next season, with four tickets to a game and four pregame field passes.

Once there, the teenager admits he struggled to get his phone to work to capture the selfie that would make him famous around the world.

"Oh my god", McKenna said as soon as he heard JT's voice over speaker phone. Timberlake then invited McKenna and his family to come meet him backstage during his tour stop in Boston, which made McKenna tear up.

DeGeneres also presented McKenna with a New England Patriots VIP experience, courtesy of the National Football League, including tickets to a home game next season and four pre-game field passes. "I look forward to our second selfie together".
