Today we finally got our first true look at the highly anticipated new Star Wars film: Solo: A Star Wars Story!

It's a case of better late than never, but when a teaser is this good, Howard and co. can be forgiven for biding their time (and for not shooting first).

Though punctuated by the brashness of Alden Ehrenreich's young Han Solo, the vibe of the trailer is a little chiller than was once forecast for "Solo". The film will also tell us how he met both future co-pilot Chewbacca and notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, played here by Donald Glover (Atlanta).

Solo: A Star Wars Story, hits theaters May 25. "I was kicked out of the flight academy for having a mind of my own". All the while, we get glimpses of him with new character Qi'ra ( Emilia Clarke) as he evades the authorities, and the sleek interiors of a brand-new Millennium Falcon. This wasn't all of the information revealed, however, as Lucasfilm (via ComicBook.Com) have also revealed the names of characters played by Thandie Newton and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. She features heavily in this new trailer though, which is a good sign. The film is directed by Oscar victor Ron Howard, who took over midway through the shoot last summer after Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired due to creative differences with Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy.
