Florida shooting conspiracy theories trend on YouTube, Facebook

Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg

Conspiracy theorists have alleged that the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting did not happen and argued that the gunman in Las Vegas was joined by other shooters. Their role, the conspiracy theorists claim, is to make the shooting seem worse than it is and drive public opinion in favor of gun control policies.

Hogg has denied that he was paid to speak out against guns after one of his former classmates opened fire in his high school.

He shared the video on his own YouTube channel where it gathered hundreds of views and attracted the attention of a local CBS channel which then filmed a segment on the fight. CBSLA's Andrea Fujii caught up with him after he was in town for Dr. Phil and CNN interviews. "I'm someone who had to witness this and live through this and I continue to be having to do that". However, Kevin Hogg retired in 2014, long before the Parkland shooting, and he worked in Los Angeles not Miami.

The Parkland school shooting incident unfolded February 14 when armed teenager Nikolas Cruz entered the school campus and randomly fired at students and teachers.

"Based on the way those kids are milking the deaths of their peers for careers", said Lucian Wintrich of Gateway Pundit, "it's completely safe to say that they don't care about those lives lost, they only care about their SJW agenda, and the soullessness comes from social media desensitization".

The falsehoods about Parkland students come even after the technology giants have tried to tamp down on disinformation campaigns by hiring thousands of moderators, changing the algorithms that surface information and enacting stricter policies. A pawn for the left wing.

Conservative political commentator Dinesh D'Souza has also weighed in on Twitter, suggesting 17-year-old survivor Delaney Tarr's video message to the president was "coached". "#DavidHogg must be building his #FakeNews resume/credentials".

Instagram May Start Ratting On You If You Screenshot Someone's Story
But suppose you have no ability to feel shame and continue to take screenshots anyway. Another workaround that'll avoid the feature involves using an internet browser.

Hogg says he doesn't understand the resentment.

"I was a witness to this. I'm trying to be as well spoken as possible because these politicians won't", he tells Fujii.

Conspiracy-minded websites are claiming Stoneman Douglas High students are crisis actors hired to stir up controversy.

"I love going to LA for the summer", he tweeted August 5, 2017.

Some, meanwhile, have used Hogg's criticism about the Federal Bureau of Investigation, combined with the fact that his father is a former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, to suggest some conspiracy aimed at hurting President Donald Trump.

"I am not fed any lines".

His FBI work, Hogg told Cooper, involved teaching management skills to people in Southeast Asia, Cambodia and the Philippines. "I'm not working with him or anybody else on this". Four of his younger sister's friends were killed. The high school Senior said the experience was "sheer terror", according to CNN, as students called their parents to quietly tell them that the loved them.
