The Tide POD meme, which is often compared to the running joke of drinking bleach, has recently gotten so out of hand online that Tide is actually acknowledging it.
Last Friday, Tide released a public service announcement against eating its products. The video was posted to Twitter on January 12 and has received more than 60,000 retweets and 125,000 likes. YouTubeannounced Wednesday that it will now take down any videos of the challenge, in the interest of users' safety.
