Mosher, 35, described the photo, "It reminds me of someone who is crossing the finish line of a marathon or something".

A CT woman fighting breast cancer got married at a hospital 18 hours before she died.

"Nobody thought she would've made it that far".

Christina Kara is the bridesmaid who captured the pure joy and defiance in the face of death. "It was a moment when she wanted to say: "Death, I'm not afraid!"

The East Windsor couple fell in love after meeting at a swing dancing class in 2015. "The way we would talk about it, you alway kind felt this isn't it".

But on December 23, 2016, their fairy tale would reach a bittersweet moment when Heather announced she had breast cancer.

But the love story of the couple took an unpleasant turn on December 23, 2016 when Lindsay was diagnosed with breast cancer. But he chose to go through with the proposal that night as they rode a horse-drawn carriage.

'A pair of draft horses, a carriage, and I arranged it all for that night. "We went out on the carriage ride and I proposed to her under a street light", David Mosher explained. Five days later, she was given a diagnosis of triple-negative breast cancer, an aggressive and faster-growing cancer.

He added: 'We would go to Dana Farber weekly, we were going to natural doctors. We were going to natural doctors. "Don't take love for granted because you could lose it at any moment", said Mosher. "It was the hardest hour of my life", Mosher told InsideEdition.com. "Don't take your love for granted because it could be taken away".

'She was tough. Anyone else would have given up a long time ago. I am so in love and I am going to celebrate that love right now, ' Karas said of the image. Shortly before the end of the year, the doctors advised the couple to advance the wedding date, initially scheduled for December 30th.

So, the ceremony was moved up. "She was able to fight til the end, I'm going to fight until my end", David said.

She was barely able to speak, but she labored for several minutes to make sure she delivered her entire wedding vows, which marked her final words.

Bridesmaid Christina Karas recorded the last part of Heather's wedding vows.

"The last words she said were her vows", Karas said.

On December 23rd, just 18 hours after the ceremony, cancer would force the couple to say goodbye.

Heather and David exchange vows on December 23. Finding and cherishing one true love is one of them, I believe.

December 30th was supposed to be the happiest day of David and Heather's life.

"It was more like a funeral than a wedding to be honest".

Obviously, the Internet responded with an outpouring of love and support for David following his heart-wrenching story, and he added that he's determined to keep his wife's spirit alive. Her husband delivered a eulogy, and Karas also spoke about her friend.
