Over the last few days, Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli, has been in talks for several reasons.
Virat Kohli has been named as the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy at the 2017 ICC Awards for his stellar performances across all formats.
Among others, Pakistan quick Hasan Ali was named the Emerging Cricketer of the Year after he helped Pakistan win the ICC Champions Trophy in June, while Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khanwas named Associate Cricketer of the Year.
Kohli also bagged the top honour for ODI players.

The ICC cricketer of the year honour has been awarded a second time in succession to an Indian. He was also named ODI player of the year. He beat Pakistan's Hasan Ali and India teammate Rohit Sharma, who finished second and third, respectively, for this trophy. Kohli racked up some serious numbers crossways formats in the qualifying period - which began from the September 2016 and continues till September 2017.
English women cricketer Anya Shrubsole bagged the ICC Spirit of Cricket award while South African umpire Marais Erasmus was awarded the David Shepherd Trophy for ICC Umpire of the Year.

The 19-year-old leg-spinner, who hails from Nangarhar, made his ODI debut for Afghanistan during their tour of Zimbabwe in October 2015.
