Naked shower video scandal rocks Major League Baseball

So what was Wood's alleged failing?

The story says a player found a camera while showering at Wood's house. After that alarming discovery he confronted the agent and fired him on the spot.

A baseball agent who had some high-profile Major League Baseball clients was sacked following allegations that he filmed players while they showered.

According to ESPN, none of the players represented by Wood have made plans to to leave CSE Talent.

His client list included Highland, Illinois native Jake Odorizzi (RHP, Tampa Bay Rays) and Red Sox infielder Andrew Benintendi among other prospects and major leaguers.

"The allegations that have surfaced today are absurd and untrue", Wood said in a text to Yahoo! "We take pride in working with people who represent these values", the company's president, Danny Martoe, said. "It's unfortunate that CSE TAlent aligned itself with someone who didn't uphold these sam standards and therefore we chose to terminate with cause Wood's employment".

Other players also allegedly were filmed, Murray and other sources have reported.

The Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPLA) has suspended Wood, prohibiting him from representing any players while an investigation into the hidden camera allegations is held.

Apparently those standards include not secretly filming clients while they shower, because that's what Wood's been accused of. The players union, which is the group that certifies agents, announced it would be giving Wood an opportunity to make a response to the accusations.

For whoever CSE hires to fill Wood's position as President of Baseball, he or she is not only going to have to salvage the agency's credibility, they'll have to completely rebuild the agency's client roster.
