Luke Walton, Lonzo Ball downplay latest LaVar Ball criticism

LaVar Ball has taken his "overbearing sports dad" shtick to another level.

"People don't why they're in the game". Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle, who's also the head of the coaches association, was less than pleased.

However when asked whether he enjoyed Walton as a coach, Lonzo did little to stem the speculation, simply answering: "I'll play for anybody".

"I'm fine with it, it doesn't bother me".

When Walton spoke at shootaround on Sunday morning, he said he had not yet had a conversation with Lonzo Ball about his father's comments.

LaVar seemingly wants to get rid of Lakers coach Luke Walton, too.

Walton said he "would disagree" with the assertion he had lost the locker room.

Suspect in custody after damaging several vehicles at Lambeau Field
Police appear to be congregating around the loading dock near the southern end of the stadium, which they have cordoned off. Smith says a dispute happened between a former employee and current employee of the contracted food service for the stadium.

"Luke can come up to me and ask whatever is on his mind", Lonzo Ball said. "As long as Zo's fine with it and Zo can come out and play, and it doesn't affect mine and his relationship, then it doesn't bother me at all".

"Nobody wants to play for him", Ball added.

Walton was in good spirits, shooting around after the walk-through with Ball, Kyle Kuzma and assistant coach Brian Shaw.

It was less than a month ago that the Lakers brass met with Ball about toning down criticism of Walton, the Lakers and how the franchise was handling Lonzo Ball, who returned Friday after missing six games with a sprained left shoulder.

Walton said that he pulled Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (zero points in 20 minutes) early on because of an uncharacteristically poor attention to defense. So, he is definitely going to have a strong opinion about it.

The 37-year-old Walton, in his second season as the Lakers head coach, has compile a 37-83 record entering Sunday's game against the Hawks. "I've said all along there's always parents, and parents are going to get mad at things, that's what they do".

"I know they have my back", Walton said of Lakers management. My concerns are coaching our team and prepping for games and working with what gives us the best chance of winning. "I know he's coming to L.A.", LaVar told ESPN.
