Anthony Joshua laughs off "glass chin" statement by Joseph Parker

The build-up to the hugely anticipated heavyweight unification clash between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker began in earnest today with a tense press conference in which the Parker camp appeared to ruffle the feathers of the normally serene Englishman.

Joshua said all the times it taught him, it would take more than a human to stop him from where he is destined to be.

"The European Championships when [trainer Rob] McCracken knows I was actually banned from the GB team because I was still getting in trouble so I went back to Watford and stopped boxing", Joshua said.

"Boxing people will go hang on a minute, Joseph has a bit quicker hand speed, definitely has a better chin, and I would add is mentally tougher", Higgins said.

The New Zealander, who has made two defences of the WBO belt, will face Joshua at Cardiff's Principality Stadium when three world heavyweight titles will be on the line.

"It's about making history now, we are always moving in that direction".

Parker recognised he had a big challenge but remained confident.

"Joshua has allegedly, in the footage going around, been dropped a few times".

"We respect the achievement of winning 20 straight fights and holding two belts", Higgins said.

Pep Guardiola: Manchester City boss says festive schedule will 'kill' players
Guardiola's Man City face their fourth match in 11 days when they go up against Watford on the 2nd January. It was a comfortable win despite Gray's consolation at the end and I think Pep will be chuffed to bits.

Trump postpones his fake "Fake News Awards"
On January 2, the USA president tweeted to say he would be announcing "the most dishonest and corrupt media awards of the year". The "Fake News Awards", as Trump calls it, are going to "the most corrupt & biased of the Mainstream Media".

He told a press conference: "It's an exciting time to be a heavyweight. Because of him we're seeing great fights like this one, in a fight that is going to have to see both men be at the very top of their game".

"I believe Anthony Joshua got his career-defining fight when he fought Wladimir Klitschko". It's an honour to be here with another world champion.

"I take everything with a pinch of salt, I don't know what to make of Parker".

"I have watched Joshua for a long time".

"Do you know what I learned when I was dropped in the Klitschko fight?" I know his weaknesses and he thinks he knows my weaknesses.

He last fought in September 2017, out-pointing Britain's Hughie Fury to retain his WBO heavyweight title. AJ revealed on Tuesday that he headed to that session having "come out of a police cell".

"This fight is Joseph Parker's defining fight", claimed Nelson.

He added: 'So my challenge to my fighter Joseph Parker is I need this to be his greatest performance.

"He has fought some decent opponents but he has not fought Anthony Joshua and let's be honest, in boxing we could talk all we like but talk is cheap".
