While no dates have been revealed just yet, one report claims that the GRAMMY victor and Academy Award nominee will play at least 36 shows, though if things go well, she could easily up that count, which Britney was more than happy to do with her Piece of Me residency.

"It's been my lifelong dream to be a Las Vegas girl, I'm so overjoyed!" the singer wrote on Twitter following the announcement.

Rumored for about a year and a half, Gaga is set to announce a series of 36 shows at The Park Theater at Monte Carlo. She says she is humbled to be joining a historical line-up of performers that include Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.

Bill Hornbuckle, President of MGM Resorts International said, "Our announcement today of Lady Gaga joining an fantastic lineup of talent at Park Theater is monumental for Lady Gaga fans, MGM Resorts and the Park MGM brand".

As Britney Spears' Las Vegas residency comes to a close, it's time to welcome a new superstar to the land of poker chips and bright lights (and even brighter sunshine). The Las Vegas Review Journal reported that the residency runs for a year through 2019 and may extend into 2020, according to unnamed sources familiar with the agreement.

With her residency on the horizon, 2018 is looking good for Gaga.

Before the residency, Gaga will wrap up her Joanne World Tour, which has dates across Europe in January and February.
