The winter session generally starts from November's third week but the government has delayed it on account of the two-phased Gujarat assembly polls on December 9 and 12.

On Monday, Gandhi said the government took the extraordinary step of not holding the winter session to escape answering questions on corruption in high places, conflict of interest of serving ministers and dubious defence deals.

"It was Congress which staged walkout from both Houses of Parliament when the government was ready to discuss the issue of demonetisation". "We would like to know how much time Rahul Gandhi spends in Parliament", Prasad told reporters at a press conference at the BJP headquarters.

"The Congress ran away from meaningful debate be it demonetisation or GST".

Slamming Kharge for his remarks against Modi in which he described him as "Brahma" the creator, Prasad said: "Yes, Modi is creator of New India".
