Sources: Vikings QB Sam Bradford gets knee cleaned up, but no major issues
However, now into the second half of the regular season, the Vikings could elect to place him on the injured reserve list, officially ending his season. But with Bridgewater expected to return to the roster Wednesday, joining Case Keenum, who has gone 4-2 as the starter the past six games, Bradford might be the odd man out.
As reported by ESPN, Bradford had surgery that "cleaned up" his knee Tuesday in Florida.
Since then, Bradford has been inactive for three straight games and much unknown still remains when it comes to how severe the quarterback's knee injury actually is.
Initial tests conducted the first time Bradford visited Dr. Andrews in September revealed no structural damage, but inflammation continues to be the root of the quarterback's pain management issue. He was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list to start the season, before being cleared to return to practice on October 16.

Bradford, acquired in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles after Bridgewater's injury past year, has been battling an ailing knee since leading the Vikings to a 29-19 win over the New Orleans Saints in the 2017 opener. He tore his ACL and suffered a dislocated knee in a gruesome practice injury before the 2016 season.
Vikings game kicks off at noon Sunday on FOX.
He threw for more yards than any Vikings quarterback over their first two seasons.
