Kevin Spacey cut from 'All the Money in the World,' scenes to be reshot with Christopher Plummer

The film is scheduled for a December 22 release, giving the film's producers less than two months to completely redo all of Spacey's scenes.

Movie cast agreed to re-shoot all scenes involving Spacey, who played the part of a reclusive, aging oil tycoon and donned heavy makeup and prosthetics and replacing him with actor Christopher Plummer. Spacey had been Sony's big Oscar hopeful as his unrecognizable turn as the mogul was pegged for Best Supporting Actor consideration, but those prospects were dashed completely when news of Spacey's alleged behavior began to spread. This comes following sexual assault and harassment allegations against Spacey. With her son's life in the balance, Gail and Getty's advisor (Mark Wahlberg) become unlikely allies in the race against time that ultimately reveals the true and lasting value of love over money.

All the Money in the World, directed by Ridley Scott and produced by Sony, isn't the first to cut ties with the actor.

Christopher Plummer will replace Kevin Spacey in the movie. His mother tries to persuade Getty to pay the random for her son after Italian gangsters captured him.

The actor has since been accused by more than dozen men of either sexually harassing or assaulting them.

The report came just hours after a former TV news anchor alleged that Spacey sexually assaulted her teenage son a year ago, at a restaurant in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

"I want to make it clear: This was a criminal act", Unruh said.

Spacey has said that he does not remember the incident Rapp describes, but apologised in a statement for any "inappropriate drunken behaviour" he might have displayed.

Some people took to Twitter after the replacement following the onslaught of sexual assault allegations, claiming Spacey's career might be over. The allegations have led to his firing from the hit television series House of Cards by the streaming service Netflix, which has also refused to release a film in which Spacey stars as the late American writer and critic Gore Vidal.
