The list was released after two days of discussions with PAAS leaders mainly Hardik aide Dinesh Bambaniya
The NDTV report said that four leaders of the Hardik Patel group were in Delhi on Friday for talks with senior Congress leaders to finalise the agreement for quotas to the Patidars.
The setback came at a time when Congress had assured PAAS leaders almost half a dozen seats in the upcoming assembly polls while OBC leader Alpesh Thakor, who recently joined the party, has been promised a dozen seats.
Gujarat Congress spokesperson Manish Doshi said, "There was a communication gap with PAAS team". A ticket has been given to Mr Hardik Patel's key aide and PAAS nominee Lalit Vasoya from Dhoraji, while the Congress denied a ticket to PAAS' Manoj Panara from Morbi, and instead chose to go with its own nominee.
"We have compromised and agreed on the issues that had been acting as obstacles since the last meeting", ANI quoted Congress's Gujarat unit chief Bharat Singh Solanki, as saying.
The Battle Royale will be in Rajkot West where Congress' Indranil Rajyaguru will take on Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.
"Now we have given a 24-hour ultimatum to the Congress". The filing of nominations for the polls began on November 14.
Following speculation that the BJP would drop many sitting ministers and MLAs to overcome high levels of local anti-incumbency and for other factors, like the Patidar reservation stir, in its first list of 70 candidates, the BJP dropped only two sitting MLAs (one woman MLAs's husband was given the ticket) only and repeated all sitting MLAs. Polling in Gujarat will be held in two phases.
The counting of the votes will be held on December 18.
PAAS leaders Lalit Vasoya and Amit Thummar will contest from Dhoraji and Junagadh seats respectively. "In the coming days, we will try to implement what we discussed", he said.
"I have declared it earlier and I am declaring it today as well that I will not fight the Gujarat Assembly elections", Mr Solanki said.
