Manchester CIty boss Pep Guardiola is now facing significant problems at full back

After medical examinations, the side of Manchester City suffers a rupture of the ligament crossed anterior to the right knee, as confirmed by the club by issuing a press release.

"After the initial tests in Manchester at the beginning of the week, Benjamin traveled to Barcelona to break his knee under the supervision of a specialist doctor, where more tests in the knee confirmed the extent of the injury".

Benjamin Mendy suffered an injury during Manchester City's win against Crystal Palace.

The French worldwide suffered the injury in Saturday's 5-0 Premier League victory over Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium.

Despite his prolific form, City should still have plenty of firepower to cope with Aguero's absence from the injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Amsterdam on Thursday.

The flaw had been discovered and fixed by Apache in March, but Equifax had not applied the patch to its own systems by May. Federal investigations: Equifax is being investigated by both the Department of Justice and the FBI.

The diagnosis, though, was not a good one for Mendy who will now undergo surgery in Barcelona on Friday, with the France defender facing several months on the sidelines.

He wrote, "Bad news guys".

Mendy, who has made an impressive start to his career at City following his move from Monaco, for a reported £52 million, missed Tuesday's 2-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League. "I will be joining Injury FC on loan for a couple months with ruptured ACL, but will be back soon and stronger hopefully".

Mendy's injury is a major setback for City as it comes just before their trip to Chelsea on Saturday and the prospect of losing the 23-year old for the rest of the season severely weakens Guardiola's strategy as the left-back was a key part of his summer squad rebuild.
