Arsenal boss Wenger on draw at Chelsea: We could have won

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey told Sky Sports: "We needed that against a top team".

His dismissal was the third time in five league games this season that a Chelsea player was sent off, as many as in their previous 73 games.

Wenger's Chelsea counterpart Antonio Conte refused to make a direct comment about Luiz's sending off but queried how his side had the habit of never ending with a full complement of players against Arsenal.

Arguably they should at least have got on the scoreboard but their record signing Alexandre Lacazette missed an open goal in the first-half.

The Brazilian was given a red card by Michael Oliver for a rash challenge on Sead Kolasinac in the 87th minute of what was an otherwise boring game, but Conte felt that Sanchez had fouled him in the build-up to the tackle.

"It was excessive force, yes", said Wenger.

They were lucky to create any chances at all in their 2-0 loss to Swansea with how boring they looked going forward. On each occasion, Palace have had vast amounts of possession and done little constructive with it.

Kavanagh - who is now in Florida - added: "The Nate Diaz trilogy fight at lightweight is what I'd personally like to see next". Both fights were superb viewing, too, with Diaz forcing a submission in the first but losing the rematch on points.

"We have great respect for officials, but it is unusual to finish a third game in a row against Arsenal with 10 men", Conte said.

After the 0-0 draw against Arsenal Conte said: "The last 20 minutes Hazard played very well". But, I repeat, the referee took this decision.

Wenger's side were savaged by former players and pundits after the 4-0 loss at Liverpool last month but showed far greater steel on Sunday and a point was the least they deserved. I think Kolasinac was not completely on his feet.

"For sure it's odd".

Following today's result, the reigning Champions now have 10 points after five games, the same total we had at this stage past year. A odd situation. Yes. "With a bit more freedom we would have won the game". And while recent history at Wembley - which included FA Cup final and Community Shield victories - gave Arsenal more optimism than usual, playing at Chelsea's hostile home ground is always a daunting prospect for any team.
