Report of active shooter at New Hampshire hospital

Shortly before 2 p.m. local time on Tuesday, authorities at a hospital in Lebanon, New Hampshire, broadcasted an "active shooter alert", local media outlets report.

Police have told people in the area to avoid the hospital.

As per police, they are investigating reports of the active shooter.

According to a tweet from hospital officials at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, police are now on site. There has been no confirmation of a shooting.

TV reports claimed that all workers received an email from the hospital about a "code silver", telling them to get out if possible or otherwise stay put.
