Trump vows he won't let China'do nothing on N. Korea

The United States has put its foot down and said "time for talks with North Korea is over" as the regime forged ahead with another long-range missile that could potentially hit major US cities.

The Chinese government is now joining the long list of people who wish President Donald Trump would stop tweeting.

"Our foolish past leaders have allowed them to make hundreds of billions of dollars a year in trade, yet... they do nothing for us with North Korea". Trump responded to the test by ripping China's leadership on Twitter. And China has essentially acted like it no longer wishes to be bothered in interfering with our North Korea problem.

China has washed its hands of responsibility for curbing North Korea's nuclear weapons programme, saying it was up to Pyongyang and Washington to sort out their differences.

The changes came as the government increased scrutiny of overseas investment and reined in speculative deals by Chinese companies in sectors such as property, sports and entertainment. In April, Trump sent an "armada" to the region and has said that all "options are on the table", including military action against Pyongyang. Despite North Korea's recent missile tests - clear UNSC violations - it remains unclear whether China will support additional sanctions against North Korea or intends to veto efforts led by the United States, the Republic of Korea and Japan.

As China's outbound investment has become less risky, the government will continue to encourage legal overseas investments, especially in projects tied to the Belt and Road Initiative, and will help with the development of domestic industries, a senior commerce official said on Monday.

Still, Haley's admission that the United Nations can't do anything effectively sidelines her, as the Ambassador to the United Nations, and puts the USA on an even more direct course toward attacking North Korea militarily, having rejected direct diplomacy and now seemingly deciding that worldwide efforts to increase pressure aren't working either.

"If the two principal parties refuse to do what is required by the Security Council resolution - de-escalation of tension, negotiations to achieve de-escalation and peace and stability and also to resume dialogue - then, no matter how capable China is, China's efforts will not yield practical results" he said.

China has blamed the USA for the North Korea missile crisis and asserted the only solution was for Washington and Pyongyang to hold a dialogue.
