Fox News pulls its programming in the United Kingdom due to low ratings

Fox News in the USA is the Murdochs' channel, they are responsible for its broadcasting standards and the appalling racial and sexual harassment that happened on their watch. "Fox News is focused on the USA market and designed for a United States audience and, accordingly, it averages only a few thousand viewers across the day in the UK", said 21st Century Fox in a statement.
According to the company, the channel is being culled on account of low audience figures, which means it's no longer commercially viable to air Fox News in the UK.
The decision to jettison the network in Britain could help insulate 21st Century Fox from criticism as it seeks to win approval for its takeover of Sky.
The takeover bid comes just years after Mr Murdoch's last attempt at taking over the business through News Corporation in 2011.
Opponents of Fox's purchase of Sky have argued that the network's right-wing leanings represent a bias in their news coverage.
Addicks Reservoir overflows over spillway
A major dam outside Houston has begun spilling over as Storm Harvey pushes the reservoir past capacity, a Texas official says . One of two key reservoirs that protect downtown and the Houston Ship Channel, Addicks is at a historic high.
The U.K.'s Fox News feed reportedly drew less than 2,000 viewers per day. At the same time, Bradley and regulator Ofcom expressly stated that the businesses controlled by the Murdochs had passed the "fit and proper" test.
If successful, the Murdoch family would have full control of Sky News, as well as the Times, Sunday Times and Sun newspapers and radio group TalkSport, through their separate company News Corp.
The harassment scandal has led to the firing of top executives and talent and the suspension of two current Fox News hosts. Fox's run-ins with Ofcom, the British communications regulator, haven't helped the Murdochs in their negotiations for Sky, either.
Opponents of the deal have also expressed fears that the rightward-tilt of Fox News editorial content could seep into Sky News.
Bradley said in early August that she had received a "large number of representations" about her decision to refer the merger for an additional review, and asked Ofcom to address "new evidence" that had been raised. It's yet more proof that the Murdochs can't be trusted to own 100% of Sky.
