Swiss police have issued an global arrest warrant after a man went on the rampage with a chainsaw in the northern border town of Schaffhausen, BBC reported on Tuesday (July 25).
The authorities said that they were still investigating the motivation for the attack, but that Mr. Wrousis appeared to have been targeting employees of CSS Insurance who were working in the company's office in Schaffhausen.
The assailant entered an office building in the northern town of Schaffhausen shortly after 10.30 am (0830 GMT), police said in a statement cited by multiple local media outlets.
Police stressed on Monday that the attack was not terror-related.
Police have said they believe Wrousis specifically targeted CSS, and was a customer of the company.
Prosecutor Peter Sticher said Wrousis has two previous convictions for offenses against weapons laws, one from 2014 and 2016.
Authorities issued an global arrest warrant for the suspect as the police carried out the search.
He didn't elaborate or say where they were committed, but said Wrousis has no previous record in the small northern canton (state) of Schaffhausen, near the German border.
