Weintraub outlined the new development at a press conference Tuesday afternoon in Solebury Township, a day after DiNardo was charged with an unrelated weapons offense.
"As is often the case in an investigation of this magnitude, it is all hands on deck", Weintraub said.
DiNardo smiled for the photo given out by the Bucks County District Attorney's Office in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, despite the fact that Cosmo had been arrested on a firearms charge.
A friend of DiNardo told Heavy.com that following a serious ATV accident the troubled man began using synthetic marijuana.

Weintraub would not say if investigators have spoken to the DiNardo family or if the investigation has led them to Cosmo DiNardo.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by prosecutors, Comso DiNardo was "suffering from mental illness" at the time of his February arrest and was involuntarily committed to a mental institution for inpatient treatment, possibly explaining why the charges were previously dismissed.
The family of DiNardo, 20, of Bensalem, owns both Solebury properties that have been searched thus far.
Weintraub said the investigation is "still wide open".
Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub called the search "just really, really rough on everybody involved" due to heat, humidity and the large-scope of the property. The charge had been dropped, but was refiled Monday. Police on Monday also searched a Bensalem home owned by Sandra DiNardo in the 900 block of Wayland Circle, where Cosmo DiNardo resides. Sturgis' father, Mark Potash, was across the street from one of the Solebury properties searched by authorities Monday morning and said he would not speak to media. Police are trying to confirm whether that is true, Weintraub said.
