Andrea Constand walks from the courtroom after testifying at Bill Cosby's sexual assault trial at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pa., Tuesday, June 6, 2017.
Lawyer Gloria Allred has caused a stir during Bill Cosby's sexual assault trial, because her cellphone rang. Constand's case is the only one in which Cosby has been charged.
The 75-year-old attorney says she was baffled because she thought the phone was turned off. If she hadn't, she would've been ejected. The judge did not specify how the reporter violated the decorum rules, or what the penalty could be.
Cosby and Constand met while Constand worked for the Temple University women's basketball team and Cosby, the school's most famous alumnus, was serving as a university trustee.
The revelation came as Constand ended her testimony in the case.
But throughout her almost seven hours on the stand over two days, Constand was unwavering in her testimony, according to the Associated Press.
Cosby lawyers say Constand called Cosby 53 times after the alleged assault. Appearing unrattled, Constand attributed her recollection mistakes to human error.
"The lights were dim and the fire was going", the lawyer continued.
Much of the cross-examination focused on 16 March, 2004 - the date Ms Constand initially told police the alleged assault occurred.
"No, ma'am, he never said a word to me", Constand said.
"I don't know what that means", Constand said.
Phone records showed Andrea Constand called Cosby 53 times between January 20, 2004, days after she said the assault occurred, and March 31, 2004, when she left Temple University, including twice on Valentine's Day. The room was dark.

Bill Cosby arrives for his sexual assault trial at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pa., Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Andrea Constand emerged from 12 years of silence Tuesday to testify. When she later began to think that he did, she testified that she didn't feel threatened because he was a respected Temple trustee and an older man.
On Wednesday, Agrusa was trying a different tack, implying that Constand and Cosby's relationship had been romantic in nature.
Constand also testified that the comedian had touched her inappropriately prior to that night, telling the court that he "commented on my trousers and touched the side of my waist and took his hand and attempted to unbutton my button..."
That changed on the night she had dinner at his house, where he gave her three "herbal" pills to help her relax, she said.
To counter the defense questions, prosecutors will present Ms. Constand's mother, a drug expert.
Asked why she visited Cosby again after that initial incident, Constand replied, "I wasn't scared of someone making a pass at me or an advance at me".
In more than four hours of cross examination over two days, defense attorney Angela Agrusa did not ask Constand any details about the alleged assault.
But Constand said Wednesday she was merely returning his messages.
Cosby, 79, is charged with aggravated indecent assault and he could be jailed for 10 years if convicted.
