Trump says 'ultimate deal' possible for peace in Middle East

In the four months since President Donald Trump took office and gave his 36-year-old son-in-law the job of forging peace between Israel and the Palestinians, Kushner has kept his plans under wraps for a conflict that is almost twice as old as he is. He then moved on to address efforts towards Middle East peace.

U.S. President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump hold hands as they arrive to board Air Force One for travel to Rome from Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel May 23, 2017.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Palestinians Tuesday after their leader condemned the Manchester attack that they must end a law ensuring payments to suicide bombers if they are serious about combating terrorism.

As the leader Marwan Barghouthi, who is heading this hunger strike, has said: the last day of the occupation will be the first day of peace.

Trump called America's security cooperation with Israel "bigger than ever", and a difference from the Obama administration. He also faces difficulties at home, where he is struggling to contain a scandal after firing James Comey as Federal Bureau of Investigation director two weeks ago. When Israeli intelligence services share highly classified information with its closest ally, they do so with the expectation that USA officials will treat the intelligence appropriately - which does not include passing it along to a third country, especially Russian Federation, given Israel's and Russia's divergent interests in Syria, due to Assad's backing of Hezbollah and Russia's backing of Assad.

The last talks between the Israelis and Palestinians, led by former US secretary of state John Kerry, broke down in April 2014 after around a year of largely fruitless discussion.

Still, both sides have to be cautious about how they deal with Kushner.

Leicester's joy was short-lived when Spurs restored their two-goal advantage two minutes later through Kane's close range header. Tottenham: Lloris 6, Dier 7, Alderweireld 8, Vertonghen 7, Davies 7, Wanyama 7, Dembele 7, Sissoko 6, Alli 8, Son 9, Kane 10.

POTUS and FLOTUS were later photographed holding hands, but the brief conciliatory moment did little to distract the internet from what appeared to be two rejections in as many days for the president.

"We stand in absolute solidarity with the people of the United Kingdom", Trump said.

Those prisoners were arrested by Israel as it is trying to impose its control over the land and the people, and they are part of the 800,000 Palestinians who were arrested since 1967. But in his statements, Trump seemed to imply that he had reached some tentative agreements that would allow Israel to step toward normalization before, rather than after, resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Zumlot endorsed a regional initiative known as the Arab Peace Initiative as the best option for delivering a final peace agreement.

What's more, peace advocates across ethnic and ideological lines have struggled to come up with ways any American president, of any political persuasion, can shift growing skepticism among both Israelis and Palestinians as to whether a two-state solution is achievable. If negotiations were to resume, they needed to be about the core issues, not talks about talks, he said.

Trump declared that he would not call the attackers "monsters", a term he believes they would prefer, instead choosing "losers", a longtime favorite Trump insult and one he has directed at comedian Rosie O'Donnell, Cher and others. It's not easy, but we agree with him - peace is possible. "We are ready. Everything is ready".
