Tiger Woods arrested in Florida for DUI

He was released just before 11am local time under his own recognisance.

In November of 2009, days after it was revealed that he was cheating on his wife, Woods crashed his Cadillac Escalade into a fire hydrant, tree and hedges.

"As for returning to competitive golf, the long-term prognosis is positive".

May 2011 - Woods withdraws from The Players Championship after a 42 on the front nine and takes a break of almost three months. Plans to participate at Augusta in April, on the 20th anniversary of his first Masters victory, also had to be abandoned. Golf has suffered in his absence in recent years but it is getting used to the fact that he's unlikely to come back right at the very top of the game.
