The 'No Fun League,' Relaxes End Zone Celebration Rules

Super Bowl LV, which will be played in 2021, was due to be played in Los Angeles, but the National Football League has moved the game to Tampa.

The NFL has a policy requiring a stadium to be open for at least two seasons before it can host a Super Bowl.

"The Tampa Bay area has enjoyed great success over the years hosting Super Bowls and we look forward to working with our local leaders in the coming months to meet the requirements for hosting Super Bowl LV in 2021", Tampa Bay Buccaneers co-chairman Bryan Glazer said in a release. So if you are making travel plans, Raymond James Stadium is the place to be on February 7, 2021 and the new stadium in Inglewood will play host to America's biggest sporting event on February 6, 2022.

"We think this is an important change, particularly for teams that may be into an overtime situation and a lengthy overtime situation that may have to come back and play on a Thursday night, so this is another positive change", NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said. Apparently they are trying to shake the No Fun League nickname and today they announced that touchdown celebrations are back.

Tampa originally finished as runner-up in the bidding for 2020 - one reason why owners backed the move unanimously.

"I did", he said. All in all, this clears any confusion while still rewarding the city with a Super Bowl just a year.

Warriors trounce Spurs without Leonard for 2-0 series lead
During the third quarter, Pachulia closed out on a Leonard shot attempt and appeared to put his foot under Leonard after the shot. There's likely only one team in this league that can compete with the Warriors when they do that and it isn't the Spurs .

But the league isn't getting carried away either - it will still penalize any celebration deemed offensive or in bad taste, including those that embarrass opponents or mimic the use of weapons.

There is no set time limit on how long such celebrations can continue.

Goodell's email also mentioned how the league is placing an emphasis on speeding up the pace of games. The 40-second play clock will begin once an official signals a touchdown and teams will have to snap the ball for their extra-point play at the end of the clock.

The change covers preseason and regular-season games. Former player Jon Runyan, who is in charge of on-field disciplinary actions, will decide the fines.

"We saw a lot of interest in liberalizing and allowing the players a little more freedom to be able to express their joy, their individuality and frankly celebrate the game", he added.
