Judge declares Prince's siblings the heirs to his estate

Carver County District Judge Kevin Eide declared that Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson, and Prince's five half-siblings are his heirs: Omarr Baker, Alfred Jackson, Sharon Nelson, Norrine Nelson, and John R. Nelson.

Lawyers for the siblings didn't want to wait, though, saying further delays would increase costs to the estate and impede its efficient administration. Eide said earlierthis month he would take their request under advisement.

While dozens of people have come forward claiming relation to Prince, many were rejected in court. Some of them have objected to making a final heirship determination, noting that their appeals of his rulings are pending at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. An autopsy later determined that he died from an accidental fentanyl overdose, which he "self-administered".

East finals trip on line as Wizards, Celtics head to Game 7
The only starter on the Wizards that have played in a Game 7 is Marcin Gortat and that was seven years ago. Not to mention the Celtics outplayed the Wiz in game six and should have won if we're being honest.

Those denied heir status have a year to appeal the judge's ruling; until that time, none of Prince's rightful heirs will be able to receive their share of his $200 million estate, although almost half of that total will go towards taxes.

Soon after his death, his full sister, Tyka Nelson, filed paperwork with the court seeking to be named his heir and administrator of his estate. Bremer stepped aside earlier this year and Prince's heirs have squabbled over the estate's advisers. The six-song EP "Deliverance" had been scheduled to be released on the first anniversary of Prince's death.

Additionally, McMillan's motion to intervene in hearings involving the estate's deal with Universal Music Group has been denied, while a motion to quash a subpoena on McMillan was granted.
