United States prepared to 'do more' in Syria, says Nikki Haley

On Sunday, US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said that US President Donald Trump is discussing with members of his administration the possibility of introducing sanctions against Russian Federation and Iran for supporting the Syrian government.

"In no way do we look at peace happening in that area with Iranian influence".

"The sight of people being gassed and blown away by barrel bombs ensures that if we see this kind of action again, we hold open the possibility of future action", White House spokesman Sean Spicer told a regular briefing.

After last Tuesday's chemical attack in Syria, Trump said his attitude toward Assad "has changed very much" and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said "steps are underway" to organize a coalition to remove him from power.

"We have to make sure that we're pushing that process", she continued.

Russian Federation had agreed to ensure Syria's chemical weapons stockpiles were destroyed - and its failure to do this enabled the attack, he said.

In his first televised interview, H.R. McMaster pointed to dual USA goals of defeating the Islamic State group and removing Assad.

The bot will be able to understand entertainment-specific commands such as "skip back 10 minutes" and "find suspense thrillers". It features a new quad-core processor that makes it 30 percent faster than the previous version, according to the company.

The joint command center also said the presence of U.S troops in northern Syria where Washington has hundreds of special forces helping the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to oust Islamic State was "illegal" and that Washington had a long-term plan to occupy the area.

Trump acts decisively in Syria: Now what?

He said he would call on Russian Federation "to fulfill the obligation it made to the global community when it agreed to be the guarantor of the elimination of the chemical weapons, and why Russian Federation has not been able to achieve that is unclear to me". "If he needs to do more, he will do more", Haley said when asked if Trump would order more strikes.

Western governments, rebel leaders and a weapons expert all criticised this claim, saying the evidence pointed to an attack by the Syrian government.

The South Carolina Republican and military hawk is calling for as many as 6,000 more US troops to help defeat the Islamic State terror group in the Middle East.

On whether Assad should be removed from power, McMaster said: "We are not saying that we are the ones who are going to effect that change. Russian Federation should ask themselves, .Why are we supporting this murderous regime that is committing mass murder of its own population?"

"There is no such thing as Assad yes, but ISIS no", Rubio said. "Clearly they've been incompetent and perhaps they've just simply been out-maneuvered by the Syrians". "But until then, you have to prove to me that these people are being vetted in a way that we're not putting American citizens at risk, '" she argued.
