Surprise, There's A New Episode Of Rick And Morty

Ricky and Morty Season 3's premiere has been streaming all night and is available on Adult Swim.

Adult Swim has played some pretty good April Fools' jokes over the last few years, but yesterday they played the ultimate prank when they preyed on everyone's skepticism and posted the third season premiere of Rick and Morty. It is up to his grandson, the other half of the titular duo, and his family to rescue their incarcerated grandfather.

The videos, which amply display co-creator Dan Harmon's predilection for puppetry, feature a stack of your favourites: Plutonians! At first fans weren't sure if they should believe the news, but it quickly became apparently that yes, this is legitimately the Season 3 premiere. If you missed it, you still have a chance to see it later today on the Adult Swim website (or you can seek it out yourself online where fans are posting links all over the place).

Harmon has spoken before about the delay, reiterating to fans that he and Roiland would release the season when it was ready.

This sudden return was, to say the least, a surprise - especially since Dan Harmon's beloved, twisted cartoon has been off the air since its season 2 finale in October 2015.
