Ryan's OT goal lifts Senators to 4-3 win

The Sens now lead the series 2-1 after Monday night's 4-3 overtime win in Boston.

With the power play winding down, Ottawa's Kyle Turris slid a pass to Bobby Ryan for a tap in goal to give the Senators the walk-off win. Ottawa defenceman Cody Ceci was still marvelling about captain Erik Karlsson's "saucer pass" to Mike Hoffman for Monday's first goal.

Boston's Tuuka Rask and Ottawa's Craig Anderson have been disappointing in net.

The Boston Bruins rallied from a 3-0 second period deficit only to fall to the Ottawa Senators 4-3 in overtime on Monday night at TD Garden in Boston.

Here's the thing about the Sens' 6-1 record against Boston: the scores were 3-1, 4-2, 3-2, 2-1 (shootout), 2-1 (Bruins), 4-3 and 4-3.

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Zack Kassian scored midway through the third period, Cam Talbot made 23 saves in his second straight shutout and Edmonton beat San Jose in Game 3 of their first-round series. Ottawa added another goal early in the second before Boston produced a dramatic comeback.

Milan got back in the match in the 66th minute when Romagnoli volleyed in Suso's cross from close range, giving Milan new belief. Later on Saturday Juventus dispatched bottom-side Pescara 2-0 with goals from Gonzalo Higuaín, taking his season's tally to 29.

OTTAWA, Ontario - Brad Marchand broke a tie with 2:33 left and Boston held on to beat Ottawain Game 1 of their first-round series. But that's what you need to do in the playoffs. "You have a little bit of adversity but you regroup and get back at it".

And completing a night of all-overtime hockey, the Anaheim Ducks and Calgary Flames also needed sudden death to decide things in Calgary last night, and Corey Perry made the Flames pay for blowing a three goal lead in regulation, scoring the game victor in OT to give the Ducks a 5-4 win and putting Calgary on the brink of elimination, down now three games to none. Ryan scored his second goal of the series as the Senators captured their second straight OT victory.

"We were allowed to play in the second and third (periods), we were a better team", Pastrnak said. The Bruins had just 10 shots through two periods. That didn't happen on Monday night once the Bruins fell down by a couple of goals early in the game.

Then Brassard got on the board, slipping a slap shot by Rask for his second goal in two games.

After climbing back in dramatic fashion, the Bruins forced OT and had in front of them an opportunity to win one of those games that leaves an opponent demoralized and potentially alters the course of a series. Boston was a tad sloppy in the defensive zone their last time out so I think it is safe to say we will see a much closer, lower scoring match here as no team will want to blink first. Senators D Erik Karlsson skipped the morning skate. "He's pretty much had his fingers in all of their important goals, whether it's been on the power play or during even strength".

Including playoff games, the Bruins are 37-22-3 with Miller in the lineup this year, and 8-11-4 without him in action. "It was a little bit of fluke play and he made a good read and he saw I had time and I pull something out of my back pocket and it worked out".
