Serial tipster Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities, who is known for his accurate prediction on Apple devices, has now stated that the new iPhone 8 will indeed make an appearance at the big event in September, but the devices might not go on sale immediately.
"In other words, severe supply shortages may persist for a while after the new models are launched, capping total shipments of new iPhones in 2H17", he continues. Last week, Bloomberg reported that supply constraints would delay the launch.
The world of iPhone 8 rumors got rocked a few days ago thanks to an alleged design schematic of the handset which featured a cutout for Touch ID on the back. He suggests that most people will be willing to wait for it to be available, even if this means holding off their upgrade cycle until early next year.
Another possible scenario that could counter the problem mentioned is if Apple releases the iPhone 8 alongside its next iterative flagship, the iPhone 7S, and iPhone 7S Plus, Kuo predicted.
If the delay is indeed true, it will indicate that Apple has likely decided on one of two iterations of the OLED iPhone.

Jurgen Klopp hints at retirement after Liverpool
The Liverpool manager has called for the Anfield crowd to be at its most vociferous and wants a similar approach from his players. Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool would be challenging for the title alongside Chelsea had injuries not hampered his side.
He also said the Apple-designed A11 processor running the iPhone 8 will use a new 10 nanometer design that's leading to more potential production delays.
Apple's iPhone 8 will introduce a completely new design to Apple's iPhone lineup, a welcome change in light of the fact that the current iPhone form factor hasn't really changed much since the iPhone 6 was released more than two and a half years ago.
The reports come amid claims of production issues for some of the custom components Apple has ordered. The iPhone 8 features a brand new redesign. With the OLED iPhone availability set to be very limited, it has reduced his estimates to 80-90 million units. The front-facing camera might also gain a second lens.
UBS analyst Steven Milunovich believes the redesigned iPhone expected to launch this fall will be priced at $850 to $900 in a separate note distributed on Monday.
The iPhone maker has recently registered a patent for on-screen fingerprint scanning but the actual adoption is also largely dependent on the display maker's technology integrating the sensor into the panel.
