Charlotte Flair Is The New #1 Contender For The SmackDown Women's Championship

Randy Orton is the WWE Champion on SmackDown Live, however he is set to face Raw's Bray Wyatt at Payback in a House of Horror's match.

- As noted, Charlotte Flair defeated SmackDown Women's Champion Naomi on this week's SmackDown in a non-title match to earn a title shot on next week's show. The show is SmackDown's first post-WrestleMania 33 PPV, though it won't take place until May 21st.

As determined on SmackDown Live tonight, Naomi will defend her SmackDown Women's Championship title against Charlotte Flair next week. We have new guys like Kevin Owens who has come over, Sami Zayn has come over, and we lost guys like Dean Ambrose, who I was having a lot of problems with, they moved him to RAW. She said they'll have a match now, and she attacked Charlotte.

Charlotte counters Naomi's attempt at the Rear View and hits the champion with Natural Selection to pick up the win in her first SmackDown Live match. That we can tell you below.

Jinder Mahal, the Indo-Canadian wrestler, has emerged as the new No. 1 contender for Randy Orton's WWE Championship. Half of the men in this match (Jinder Mahal, Sami Zayn, and Erick Rowan) weren't on the roster just a few weeks ago.
