We're nearing the arrival of the BlackBerry KeyOne in North America.

TCL might share more details on the Keyone's availability from Sprint later next month.

The BlackBerry KEYone will be on-sale in Canada and the USA starting on May 31, 2017.

As it appropriately should, the KeyOne will go on sale first in BlackBerry's native land, Canada. A 12-megapixel image camera adorns the rear of the phone, while an 8-megapixel camera is on the front for selfies, complete with 84-degree wide-angle lens.

April's nearly over, so where the hell is Kim Kardashian's next phone, the BlackBerry KEYone? While its seemingly-antiquated design necessitates a stubbier screen than a typical smartphone, the excellent hardware keyboard feels flawless - just as it did years ago on older BlackBerry models.

BlackBerry's latest smartphone has finally launched in the United Kingdom, although it's not easy to get your hands on one. Sure, it runs Android 7.1 Nougat and it's got a touchscreen, but it's still got a bunch of BlackBerry software, and again, that keyboard. Hardware keyboards have been a hit for years in countries like India and Indonesia, which are mainstays of the BlackBerry and BlackBerry Messenger.

Canadian Wireless carriers who have committed to offering the BlackBerry KEYone include Bell, Bell MTS, Rogers, SaskTel, and TELUS Business. Despite being the ancestral home of BlackBerry, the device will launch there later in May. The handset also comes with BlackBerry's trademark built-in QWERTY keyboard; in this case, it's a capacitive four-row keypad. Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ 3.0 technology enables up to 50 percent charge in roughly 36 minutes.

Being the first BlackBerry device from TCL, all eyes - okay, maybe like a dozen eyes - are on the new KeyOne to see exactly how good or bad it is.

What really sets a BlackBerry smartphone apart from any other Android device, are the enhanced security features built into every device, right from the start.

The processor's a midrange Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, but from what I could tell it can hold its own.
