Broncos name their starting quarterback: Trevor Siemian

30 August 2016, 03:30 | Kristine Mills

Siemian, who has yet to throw a regular-season pass in the National Football League, will start against the Carolina Panthers on September 8 to kick off the NFL's 2016 regular season. Siemian, Mark Sanchez and rookie Paxton Lynch were told the news by Kubiak before the rest of the team was informed.

According to reports, the Broncos are trying to deal their once-presumed starting quarterback.

Siemian has just one National Football League snap on his resume, a kneel-down when he was the No. 3 QB previous year behind Manning and Brock Osweiler. As a seventh-round pick in the 2015 draft, Siemian hardly played behind Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler as the Denver Broncos went all the way to Super Bowl 50, eventually winning the big game over the Carolina Panthers. He showed the poise of a much more experienced player as he threw for 122 yards on 10-for-17 passing, throwing one touchdown and one interception. I can tell by the way he handles the team in the huddle, he's got control of what's going on. If they cut him, the Broncos would get that back, along with the seventh-rounder they expended to acquire him from Philadelphia. It will be just the second career start for Siemian, which should hopefully provide somewhat of an easier matchup for the Colts' depleted secondary. It wouldn't be just one practice, one game, one week or even one month that determined the victor.

August 22: Kubiak appoints Siemian as starter for Broncos' third preseason game, indicating an edge in the quarterback race. Siemian played in all three preseason games, starting two of them, and completed 27-of-43 passes in that span for 285 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. "I don't know. I've got enough going on that I can make a decision".

Obesity is the cause of any individual's cancer!
It adds to evidence from the same team in 2002 connecting excess weight to cancers of the colon, gullet, kidney, breast and womb. Researchers in this study also attempted to quantify the risk for obese people to develop this variety of cancers.

"I do", Siemian said. "Ultimately it's up to [Kubiak], it's a better question for him".

August 20: Siemian starts Broncos' second preseason game, against the 49ers in Denver.

In the past few weeks though Siemian has taken the reigns on the job with his performance, so Monday's announcement wasn't exactly a surprise. "I think they're looking each other right in the eye throughout the whole course of the offseason as far who is ahead and who is one or two". He will just be holding down the fort until Lynch is ready, unless he really shines as the Broncos quarterback.

"I feel better than I ever have before with my conditioning", Miller said.
